 Chris Well is more a writer than an artist -
although the lineage of "Extra Bold & Fred" includes
"Barney's World," a strip he did for his high school
paper, and the wildly unsuccessful "Mr. 7ball," a strip
that appeared maybe twice in 7ball magazine, which Chris edited
until last spring.
In fact, since his teens, Chris has edited or written for a wide
variety of magazines - some of his interview subjects include
Michael W. Smith, VeggieTales' Phil Vischer, Superbowl MVP Kurt
Warner and Stryper.
Recently, Chris won a short fiction contest for ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S
MYSTERY MAGAZINE. His 209-word entry, "Time Flies," will
be published in that magazine's January 2003 issue.
Chris and his wife, Erica, recently launched Miracle Comics
Publishing Group. Copies their two preview minis, "Fallen
World" and "Penultimate Adventures" are available
