(Makoto was one of the earliest
fans of the Megazeen, an immediate cheerleader that rallied to our
cause and pumped us up. It was a pleasure to finally receive
her official submission. And usually I rewrite these bios, but
nobody says it perkier than Makoto herself. I'm betting the
best way to read this is in one continuous sentence without
breathing...)
my Bio type thingy: I'm
21 years old, born and raised in South Carolina (we're not all hicks
and rednecks, by the way ^_^). Although living in the "Holy
City" of the "Bible Belt," I didn't accept Jesus
Christ until age 15. I've been drawing comics for myself since I was
7 years old, but it wasn't until age 18 that God told me to use my
love for comics to His glory. Since then, God has given me
several ideas for Christian comic book series and it's my dream to
start my own Christian comic book company. The Megazeen
will be the first time any of my comics have been published, but in
the future I plan to self-publish my works and sell them locally and
online. I'll be graduating from college in August of 2002 and that's
when I want to get this baby started! I thank God so much for
bringing me to the Megazeen. Before I heard about it, I had never
seen any Christian comics. I only knew of one in existence.
It's wonderful to know that there are so many other Christian
brothers and sisters with the same vision that God has given
me. Comics are an entertaining, beautiful, and non-pushy way
to spread God's good word throughout the world. By taking
advantage of this fantastic art form, we can do great things through
Jesus Christ. Denouncing the stuffy, judgmental, controlling,
uptight image of Christians that the world often sees and showing
all people that following Jesus is fun is a most excellent way to
bring people to God's kingdom and help fellow believers keep the
faith. This approach can probably be best achieved through comics.
